评委会成员
世界华文文学奖特约嘉宾、诗人焦桐
18位评委会成员，计有美国地区的张错、王德威、李欧梵；香港地区的郑树森、刘再复、潘耀明、黄子平；中国地区的李锐、刘心武、王安忆、王蒙、陈思和；台湾地区的余光中、杨牧、焦桐、李奭学、平路，以及马来西亚的傅承得。全球近年来仍持续创作的中文作家，包括非华人，都有被推荐的资格。
评审方式
参照诺贝尔奖的评审方式，评审委员为终身制。而委员会由全球18位作家或学者组成，负责进行两年一度的评审工作。每一位评审委员在评审年度推荐一位作家及其一部近十年出版的代表作品，并提呈一份有关受推荐者背景资料和文学表现的赞词。每位委员须寄20本受推荐书给文学奖工委会，以供分给其他评委审阅。假如有关评委只能寄一本的话，工委会将分发影印本给其他评委。评分标准中，受推荐书占60％，受推荐者长期以来的文学成就占40％。而评审委员会并不排除评委会受到推荐，惟被推荐的委员该届则暂回避担任评审。
